Modern Choki Chokies is a band of countless members, in which HAMADA Mari is the lead singer. They have released 4 albums and 7 singles on Ki/oon Sony Records in the first half of the 1990's. In 1997, a best hits album called "Readymade Recordings" and selected by KONISHI Yasuharu (Pizzicato Five) was released.
 "The presentation is theatrical with the musical style not limited to one particular genre, but leaves one with the impression that many types of music styles have been delved into deeply. In order to recreate these styles on the stage, the group became one big family and at certain stages there were big changes in members. Then of course last but not least is the most important ingredient of humour."
